I’ve been in quite the mount drought for some time now in WoW. It’s definitely not for a lack of trying that’s for sure. It’s just been one of those extended periods where nothing seems to drop. Luckily for me, those times are often followed by short windows where mounts seem to fall from the sky. I’m talking two or three mount drops in a row in quick succession. That may not sound like a lot but it sure as hell is for me. Maybe this begins another round or maybe i just jinxed myself.
My goal for the night was to try and solo Oondasta for his mount. Now i assumed that was going to be easy on my blood DK but i had never even fought him before. Actually, i don’t believe i’d ever even been to Isle of Giants before to be perfectly honest. I may have run by once or twice in my explorations but never actually spent any time there. Unfortunately he wasn’t up on my server and i had no desire to bounce around other servers until i found him up. It’s was time for plan B.
The back-up plan was to do a quick run of Sethekk Halls for Anzu’s mount. I’ve been slacking in regards to this particular farm spot for a while. I know i should do it every day after reset but i don’t enjoy going to Outland so it had been a few months since my last attempt. Lucky for me i stopped being lazy and followed my whim and Anzu decided to cooperate and drop his mount. It was one of those get in, get out moments that took less than a minute. I’m the brand new owner of the Reins of the Raven Lord mount and couldn’t be happier. My mount list now stands at 130 and counting. Sam Lowry would enjoy the nice round number. I’m sure there’s a form somewhere i would need to fill.
Harry Tuttle: Bloody paperwork. Huh!Sam Lowry: I suppose one has to expect a certain amount.Harry Tuttle: Why? I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there’s trouble, a man alone. Now they got the whole country sectioned off, you can’t make a move without a form. – Brazil (1985)
